after this afternoon's storm the sun set with just enough light to throw up a bright arc of rainbow between my neighbor's house and mine and the pot of gold was the curled up cozy comma of the marmalade feral cat that the two of us happily share and I swear the moment stood still for us both to breathe in the blessing of the golden stillness showering over us as we basked in it all and let all that rain washed awesome steep in soul deep to keep somewhere deep. Somehow, sometimes you can clearly hear that beautiful chorus baritone 'yes, I think to myself what a wonderful world' without even a single sound breaking the stirring silence ....
